The Happy Hikers will try out another "new" trail on Aug. 23. We'll be hiking through the woods to Deeryard Lake. Following the hike, we'll have lunch at the Cascade Restaurant. Directions to the trailhead: Take County Rd 7 to to County Rd 44. then go .1 miles on 44 to 45 (Pike Lake Road). Turn left on 45 and go about 4.6 miles until you see a sign for Boat Launch Pike Lake. 45 turns right here but continue straight. There is a sign on the corner that says Pike Lake Road and Murmur Crk Road. It is .7 miles to trailhead with small parking area and the trailhead sign. After we hi​ke​, we​ will drive ​back to ​CR ​7 and then right to 61 to Cascade ​Restaurant, ​which is about 4 miles. ​This hike is medium difficulty. Hiking boots, hiking sticks, hat, water & insect repellent recommended.​ ​We'll meet at the YMCA tennis courts at 9am on Thursday​, Aug. 23, and carpool to the trailhead.
