The Happy Hikers will hiking the Caribou Falls trail on Thursday, Aug. 9. Enjoy the new parking lot and clean new restroom. This trail goes up to a stairway to the Caribou Falls and then ascends further up to another platform above the falls. We'll eat lunch at the CoHo Café in Tofte. They have a nice outdoor patio.

Meet at the YMCA (tennis court side) at 9am. Sign in and carpool to the Caribou State Wayside Rest parking lot, located on Hwy. 61, 8 miles s. of Schroeder. (Suggested donation for driver is $3.) Hiking shoes & hiking sticks recommended as well as insect repellent. This hike is medium difficulty, due to the elevation rise of the trail. If you live in the west end, you are welcome to meet us at the Caribou Falls trailhead about 9:45. We hope you'll join us! Invite your friends. All are welcome, including your doggie pets (on a leash).
