Cook County Search and Rescue Meeting
CCSAR meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 7pm. Training follows short business meeting. Meetings are held at Cook County Search and Rescue Building.
The Cook County Search and Rescue Unit is a non-profit, volunteer organization that trains and organizes volunteers in search, rescue and other emergency services. Cook County Search and Rescue Volunteers respond only when activated by the Cook County Sheriff or his designee and operate where directed by the Sheriff or his designee. Responsibilities Conducts searches for missing persons in all areas of Cook County, most often in remote wilderness areas. Rescue services for victims of snowmobile, ATV and boat accidents, as well as other medical and trauma emergencies that occur in wilderness and backwoods areas.
