1st Responder Dementia Training

1st Responder Dementia Training
Tuesday, May 8th from 6-8 pm
at the Sawtooth Mountain Clinic
with Jenna Pogorels of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Alzheimer’s disease epidemic continues to grow. As a first responder, it’s critical to be prepared to face it in your community. People with Alzheimer’s or another dementia can unknowingly put themselves and others in dangerous situations. Understanding the disease is key to ensuring you make the right response. The Alzheimer’s Association® Approaching Alzheimer’s: First Responder Training is a course to prepare you to respond to common calls involving a person with dementia.

The program is offered free of charge. Food and a certificate of attendance will be provided.

For more information please contact Kay Grindland at 387-3788 or [email protected]. Registration is not required, but we request that groups or individuals call ahead of time to give us an idea how many to plan for.

For those unable to attend, an on-line version is available on the Alzheimer’s Association web site.
