To celebrate Harbor Park and springtime Grand Marais, the Cook County Historical Society is collecting stories, memories, and anecdotes about the Grand Marais Harbor (Bear Tree Park/Harbor Park) as part of the Harbor Park Sound Garden project, presented by Wavelets Creative. The SPRING Sound Garden in Harbor Park is a free outdoor sound + performance installation on Sunday May 27 from noon - 5 pm. The Sound Garden will combine music, poetry, history, dance, storytelling, sculpture, and visual art into an immersive sensory experience, and will include archival photos and history tours of Harbor Park and the surrounding area.
