Iona’s Beach is a different sort of place on the North Shore of Lake Superior, known for it’s interesting sights and sound. It’s story is a fascinating combination of geology, the forces of Lake Superior, resident plants and animals, as well as interesting people. Join us as we weave the tale of Iona’s Beach, explore it’s wonders, and uncover a few of the secrets of this not so well know Scientific and Natural Area treasure on the North Shore. Meet in the upper parking lot at 1:00 pm. Funding for this program is provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR).
