Seasonal load restrictions on Cook County’s paved roads and paved sections of roads will end at 12:01 am on Monday, May 12, in accordance with Minnesota’s guidance for the North frost zone. Legal weight trucks can use these paved roads and paved sections of roads, unless otherwise posted.

Road conditions on gravel roads and gravel sections of roads will be inspected on Monday morning, and another notice will be sent out on Monday afternoon. All other roads remain restricted to the limits on posted signs, generally 5 tons per axle on gravel roads.

Going forward, load restrictions on each gravel road will be removed as soon as conditions allow.
