Heavy rains cause minor stream flooding, advisory issued until 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29

Widespread heavy rain throughout the day on April 28 has caused flooding in small streams across Cook County, Grand Portage, and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Duluth has issued a Flood Advisory, effective until 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29.
So far, minor flooding has been reported in low-lying areas, including around streams and poorly drained areas, as well as on roadways. According to the NWS, between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Precipitation is expected to continue throughout the evening.
If you come across a flooded road, turn around, don't drown.
A dense fog advisory is also in effect for areas along the shoreline of Lake Superior until 10 p.m. on Monday, April 28.
