In honor of Medical Laboratory Professional Week (April 20 -26, 2025), North Shore Health (NSH) will host a special Laboratory Open House Day. The public is invited to attend this free event in the NSH Multi-Purpose Room on Wednesday, April 23 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The NSH Laboratory staff will provide the following free services to visitors during the Open House Day:

·          Blood type

·          Glucose

·          Pictures of blood cells and bacteria

Visitors are welcome to participate in fun contests and activities as well. They can also enter into a free raffle for the chance to win a basket of goodies. All ages are welcome (minors should be accompanied by a parent or guardian).

The North Shore Health Laboratory is a full-service laboratory, offering a broad in-house test menu. Using current methodologies and state-of-the-art instrumentation, we perform routine and STAT testing for:

• Chemistry
• Blood Gases
• Coagulation
• Serology
• Molecular Diagnostics
• Immunochemistry
• Hematology
• Urinalysis
• Microbiology
