The North Shore Management Board is inviting the public to participate in an important new survey aimed at gathering public input on the North Shore Management Plan. This survey is part of a broader effort to better understand the challenges we face and to a guide for future development while maintaining the unique character of the shore for all.

The survey, which may take 20 minutes to complete, covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • Zoning
  • Sanitary and Wastewater Treatment
  • Erosion Hazard Area Management
  • Shoreline and Shoreland Alterations
  • Planned Unit Development

“We want to hear from the community on how we can address both environmental and economic challenges in ways to benefit everyone. By participating in this survey, residents will have a direct impact on shaping the future of the North Shore,” said Lynelle Hanson, staff to the North Shore Management Board. “This is a unique opportunity to voice your concerns, ideas, and hopes for a more sustainable and economically vibrant North Shore.”

How to Participate:

The survey can be completed online at https://northshoremanagementboard.com/north-shore-management-plan. It is open to all residents and visitors, and the deadline for responses is March 4, 2025. All responses are confidential and will be used solely for plan updating purposes.

A Public Information and Input Session will be held at the Silver Bay Public Library on January 15 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Why Your Input Matters:

The results from this survey will play a critical role. Your feedback will help the North Shore Management Board prioritize management standards that reflect the needs and values of the people who live here.
