Wind and cold advisories in place until Saturday morning for Cook County and Grand Portage

Cold weather and windy conditions have caused the National Weather Service in Duluth to issue a Wind Advisory and a Cold Weather Advisory for Cook County and Grand Portage until 10 a.m. Saturday.
The Wind Advisory will be effective at 4 p.m. for 15 to 20 mph winds out of the NW, with gusts up to 45 mph. The Cold Weather Advisory will start at midnight, with windchill temperatures down to -35F expected. These cold conditions can lead to frostbite in under 10 minutes.
Saturday is expected to be cold, with high temperatures in the single digits.
