Freeze warning issued for most of Lake and Cook Counties, Grand Portage

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Duluth has issued a freeze warning for most of Lake and Cook Counties and Grand Portage from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. on October 4. Temperatures as low as 30 F are expected in all areas except those closest to Lake Superior's shoreline. A small portion of Southern Lake County is under a frost advisory.
Below-freezing temperatures can damage any unprotected outdoor plumbing and kill sensitive vegetation or crops.
