Expired: Tornado warning for Clear Lake, Temperance River State Park, Sugar Loaf Cove, and Taconite Harbor areas until 6:45 pm

From the National Weather Service in Duluth - June 12, 2024

6:55 pm update: The tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings have expired. 

The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Tornado Warning for Southwestern Cook County and East Central Lake County in northeastern Minnesota until 6:30 pm. 

Threats with this storm include ping pong ball size hail, a possible tornado, and 60 mph wind gusts. People and animals will be injured if left uncovered. Damage to structures, vehicles, and trees should be expected. 

The storm will be around Clear Lake, MN around 6:15 pm. Other locations in the path of this severe thunderstorm include Temperance River State Park, Temperance River State Park, Sugar Loaf Cove, and Taconite Harbor areas until 6:45 pm. 

Take cover now in an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
