May 21, 2023 from Sivertson Gallery

As many of you know, we lost our dear Howard Sivertson in January. Howard lived an extraordinary life on Isle Royale and the North Shore, always near his beloved Lake Superior. A natural storyteller, he painted pictures instead of using words to tell of home, family, and fishing life. This month, we are celebrating an amazing man and his extraordinary art with festivities and a gallery show, open to everyone.

A celebration of Howard's life

WEDNESDAY, MAY 31, 2023, 5:30 to 10pm. Gather with friends and family at Up Yonder (formerly the Harbor Light) in Grand Marais, Minnesota, for a cash bar and dinner starting at 5:30pm. After enjoying food and spirits, we’ll share our Howard stories and enjoy music (including polka favorites!) from Liz Sivertson’s fabulous band, The Splints, until 10pm. Up Yonder is on Highway 61 as you enter Grand Marais from the south and west. All are welcome!
