Recruiting Locations for Plein Air Painters This Fall

This year the outdoor painting competition Plein Air Grand Marais will be taking place September 15th-22nd, and we’re already getting excited!
Painters have expressed an interest in gathering suggestions for new painting locations, including private property that individuals might wish to make available. JHP will be compiling these suggestions into a guide for painters.
Our painters are courteous, undisruptive, and passionate about capturing the beauty of an area. They typically work for several hours at a time, and pack in and out all materials they might need.

Ideal locations can be anywhere in Cook County, will capture something unique or special about the area, and can be reached with easy to moderate difficulty.
If your location is chosen for inclusion in our guide, we will contact you to confirm your interest and discuss any requests or concerns you might have. Artists will not be approved to access your space until this confirmation has occurred.
