A Boreal Community Media Exclusive - February 3, 2023

Favorite part of working at Sawtooth Mountain Clinic?
I absolutely love my coworkers and the sense of community working at the clinic!

How did you land in Cook County?
I went to Northland College and double majored in Outdoor Education-Natural History & Geoscience, with a minor in Environmental Education. My first job after graduating was in the Activities Department of Lutsen Resort. And life always leads you down paths you never thought you would travel…

How do you relax on a day off when you dedicate so much of your time taking care of others?
I spend time with my family and my pets. And I love going camping to “recharge.”

Best advice you were ever given?
My mom told me that everyone should be a waitress/waiter at least once in their life- it builds character. Now I tell my own children that everyone needs to be a nursing assistant at least once in their life - it builds even more character.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I have been very fortunate to have traveled extensively already, but pretty much the whole world is on my bucket list. At the top of the list right now is returning to Scotland and Ireland. I can’t wait to visit Italy, Croatia, and Greece.

Fact about Angie that most people probably don't know?
I love refurbishing/repurposing old furniture.
