Tuesday, Oct. 18 is the final day to pre-register to vote in Minnesota ahead of the upcoming elections.

Minnesota is one of the states that allows same-day voter registration, but if you want to skip that step at the polling places, you must complete online registration by the end of the day Tuesday or make sure mail-in and drop-off registration forms are received by 5 p.m. Tuesday.

All others must register to vote on Election Day, which is Tuesday, Nov 8.

Confirm your registration status HERE. See answers to registration FAQs HERE.

The Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State also reminds absentee voters that absentee ballots must be received by the county by Election night to be counted, which is a return to normal after the deadline extension granted in 2020 due to pandemic.

The pre-registration deadline in Wisconsin is Wednesday, Oct. 19 for both mail-in and online forms. Wisconsin voters are also able to register on Election Day.
