Final announcements of who will receive Frontline Worker payments, as well as how much those payments will be, could come as soon as Monday, Oct. 3, according to the state.
As previously reported last week, the state said it will release new numbers this week, including the final data on approved and denied applications, the amount of money which will be sent out to all who were approved, and when payments can be expected.
Previously, the state had said the money was expected to be sent out in September.
Earlier this year, Minnesota lawmakers approved $500 million to be split among those who are approved.
At the time of the bill signing, officials estimated about 667,000 Minnesotans were expected to be eligible for the payments, which were initially estimated to be around $750. However, more than one million people applied for the funds.
In mid-August, the state reported the total number of applicants who were subject to being denied funds was 214,209. Those who received denials were able to appeal their applications but had to do so by 5 p.m. on Aug. 31.
