Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center Presentations for the week of August 14 – August 21

  • August 14 – 10:30 a.m. – Chik-Wauk Weekend Hikes / Presentations. You can learn how different pollinators and their importance to the area and the food we eat.
  • August 14 – 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Dr. Seth Moore - Climatic, environmental, and social justice issues in Indian Country: How science leads to justice.
  • August 16 – 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Kids’ Day children under the age of 18 can visit the Chik-Wauk Campus free of charge
  • August 17 – 2:00 p.m. – USFS Naturalist Ellie will talk about Dark Sky. Meet on the front porch of the Chik-Wauk Museum
  • August 19, 20, & 21 – 10:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m. – Chik-Wauk Weekend Hikes / Presentations. This weekend you can learn about Plant Diversity. Here is a chance to learn some plant ID skills
  • August 21 – 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Teresa Marrone – The Secret Lives of Mushrooms

Museum, Cabin Exhibit & Gift Shop is open daily 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Nature Center is open daily 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Watercraft Exhibit Building is open daily 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Admission charge $5.50/adult, $2.50/children 5 – 18 under 5 are free, discount for Senior & Military

Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center is located on the Gunflint Trail (Hwy 12) turn right onto Moose Pond Drive (UT 81).
