School supply lists for Cook County and Grand Portage schools (22-23 school year)

The supply lists for all Cook County and Grand Portage schools are now available for the 2022-2023 school year. 

Don't forget that the Cook County Council on Aging is hosting a school supply drive, where they are collecting supplies (or monetary donations for supplies) and donating them to all local schools. 

Finally, here are some retailers offering big sales on school supplies.

At GES, we actually request a supply fee from families and purchase items centrally, so we don’t have a supply list.  There are some items that are always needed, though!:
  • Pens
  • Flair markers – mostly black and red
  • Sharpies – black
  • Dry erase Full-size
  • Full size scissors
  • Rulers
  • Glue sticks
  • Pink erasers
  • Folders
  • Wide-lined notebooks
  • Wide-lined Loose leaf paper
  • Ziploc type bags – any size


Oshki Ogimaag Community School

Students in Kindergarten/1st grade 

1. Backpack (labeled with name) 

2. Tennis Shoes for Phy Ed. (labeled with name) 3. Extra warm shirt or jacket (labeled with name) 4. 1 box of pencils 

5. 1 bottle school glue 

6. Crayola Washable Markers 

7. 4 erasers

8. 1 box of kleenex-tissue 

9. Pencil box 

10. 3 notebooks-wide ruled 

11. 2-2 pocket folders.  

12. extra shirt, pants, socks, underwear (labeled  with name to stay at school) 

Students in 2nd and 3rd Grades
