After escaping from NERCC on Wednesday, a man is back in custody again. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said that Kris Richard Severin, 42, was arrested Friday morning.

Investigators had learned he had connections with a homeowner south of Eveleth. Deputies went to the home on Thursday, and saw Severin knocking on the front door.

The press release said that Severin fled into a wet swampy area. Rain made it difficult to track him, but law enforcement remained in the area. Then, on Friday, they found Severin inside a vehicle on the same property. He’s now in the jail, and the investigation continues.

Authorities say he was being held for violation of an order for harassment. The Sheriff’s office would like to thank the public for their tips on this case.
