Community Shred Day

Date/time: Friday, May 27, from 10am - 12pm

Location: Grand Marais State Bank 

Accepted: Papers for shredding (paper clips, staples and rubber bands do not need to be removed). There is no limit to how much people can bring

Not Accepted: Already shredded paper; people need to take their boxes or plastic bags that they have their stuff in (or bring your paper in a brown paper bag, which can be shredded)

Price: Free

Other:

-Just drive up and either unload your vehicle and we will have people that can help unload as well.

-The paper is shredded right on sight and is eventually turned into toilet paper

-There will be free coffee and World’s Best Donuts inside the bank

-You do not need to be a customer of GMSB in order to bring your stuff and come and enjoy the coffee and doughnuts

Accepted: Electronics, Appliances, Batteries, Lamps, Ballasts

Price: 

Small Appliances – Blenders/laptops/keyboards/cellphones etc. (FREE)

Batteries – NiCad/Metal Hydride ($1.25/lb), Lead Acid/Alkaline ($1/lb), Mercury/Mixed Dry Cell batteries ($5/lb), NiCad Wet batteries ($2.50/lb), Lithium Primary batteries ($8.50/lb), Zinc Air batteries ($1.50/lb), Lithium Ion batteries ($2.50/lb)

Lamps/Other – Fluorescent/Incandescent lamps ($0.50/ea), HID/Shatter Shield ($2/ea), Broken lamps ($1/ea), Neon/UV ($5/ea)

E-Waste/Appliances – TV’s/Computers/Monitors ($25/ea), Microwaves ($25/ea), Standard Appliances/Mini-Fridges ($25/ea), Industrial Appliances ($100/ea)
