The fire crew from the Gunflint Ranger District (USFS) will attempt to conduct a wildlife opening burn on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 in the afternoon. The burn will take place at the Gunflint Ranger Station, which is located on the West end of Grand Marais, MN near Highway 61 between Putt n Pets Mini Golf and Oddz and Endz. The unit is grass and ¾ of an acre. For a visual reference, please see the project and vicinity maps provided. The yellow outlines on the project map indicate specific burn locations.
