Think ahead to the warmer days of summer, eating a meal with friends and family outside on a beautiful Duluth night. That's the vision for the folks at Fairhaven Farm, who want to welcome the community and serve up some yummy pizza!

"We grow fresh veggies. And so what we're trying to do is create kind of a family friendly, outdoor dining experience, where we take all the fresh ingredients that we grow on our farm, put them on top of a pizza, and sell them to folks right at the farm," shared the farm's co-owner, John Beaton.

They want to construct a building on their farm on Munger Shaw Road, where people can come and get some fresh made pizza, made with those farm-fresh ingredients.

"We've had awesome feedback already," shared Beaton. "I think people are ready for an outdoor dining experience. And I think people are ready just to gather around something super positive."

Their goal is to raise $33,000 over the next four weeks. The fundraiser is ending on March 21st.

"Community has always been a really big part of our farm. We also sell our veggies through a community-supported agriculture program. And so right from the get-go, our whole goal with our entire farm is to have a direct connection with our customers."
