The Virginia Fire Department, along with the Virginia Housing Authority and St. Louis County officials, are currently organizing an orderly evacuation of the Columbia and Rouchleau Housing Complex in Virginia.

This is because of a boiler problem. Both buildings are without heat. Crews have been working on this throughout the day.

About 150 residents are being taken to the Iron Trail Motors Event Center for temporary housing. Area motels and hotels are being contacted for longer term housing. According to the fire department, the boiler problem is being hampered by a water line break in the area.

People who have loved ones who live there should report to the event center to check on those being evacuated.
