Wintery Greetings, Families!

Why is shoveling snow a chore at home and great fun for kids when at school?  The snow has turned the playground into a magical space with hills for climbing and sledding, thanks to the parking lot snow plow.  Please consider sending extra dry clothes to school to keep your child comfortable for the day.  Warm mittens and socks are most important.  Read on for more of this week's news:

In the Classrooms:

This morning's all school gathering was led by the Wolves East and West.  They began by leading the school in a favorite song:  Land of the Silver Birch, then performed a mini-skit demonstrating the do's and don'ts of the playground and equipment, as well as the importance of taking care of our school grounds.  The Wolves are Land Stewards at GES and work to clean up the school grounds and report back to their classes what they found and accomplished. They have provided a suggestion box for others to contribute ideas to improve the school grounds.  Thank you Wolves!  Your work is important and appreciated!

Public Health Update

The next youth vaccination clinics are scheduled for December 15 (children ages 5-11) and December 16 (children ages 12 and up).  If you are interested in signing up please use the following link:  https://coronavirus-response-cook-county-minnesota-1-cookcountymn.hub.arcgis.com/
