From the Minnesota Department of Transportation - October 14, 2021

MnDOT crews will be closing Mesaba Avenue from West 1st Street to southbound I-35 between 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14 and 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15 in Duluth. The closure is needed for the installation of precast barrier that will place traffic in one lane before merging onto I-35. Traffic will be detoured from West 1st Street to 6th Avenue West onto Michigan Street and then to 5th Avenue West and onto southbound I-35.

Motorists are encouraged to check www.511mn.org before traveling for information on road conditions, closures and detour routes.
