Greetings, Families!
Today's newsletter will be brief, with a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL TOMORROW. This information was not included in last week's newsletter, and I hope it doesn't cause problems for anyone.
In the health realm, families should be aware that some classrooms are experiencing several students out with sore throats, and other cold-like symptoms. Besides the common cold, we have had at least one case of Strep Throat this week. If your child has a sore throat, consider a throat culture as well as Covid testing. It may not be Covid, but could be Strep. When in doubt, call the clinic: 387-2330 for guidance.
Grace and Jodi in Public Health would like to encourage testing as soon as symptoms present themselves. It's better to be safe than sorry AND it makes contact tracing easier. They also shared that many recent positive cases are co-presenting with RSV and Strep.
Lastly, please note the important news below from Great Lunch. |
