A beautiful day is in store for the Northland Thursday. The morning will start off cold and frosty. Then high temperatures ranging from 65-70 across the area are expected with cooler temperatures near the lake. Increasing clouds will occur overnight as a system approaches from the northwest.

Showers with a few rumbles of thunder and strong winds will be possible Friday into Saturday morning. Most showers will be along the International Border and in northwestern Wisconsin by Friday evening. After the showers move out, another dry period is expected for the latter half of the weekend and into the work week.
