Joy & Co. Presents: Celebrating the Tenacious Woman Art Gala in Grand Marais

Joy & Co. presents Celebrating the Tenacious Women Art Gala, taking place at Joy & Co., 16 1st Ave. West in Grand Marais, on Mother’s Day Weekend, May 7-9, from 10 am – 5 pm daily. 

The event is free and open to the public and will feature artwork, art installations, and live performances from local and regional artists, and beyond. ‟This will be a celebration of tenacity and tenacious women, and the roll they play in our lives,” said Jill Terrill, owner of Joy & Co. 

Celebrating the Tenacious Women Art Gala will take place over three full days, in an indoor/outdoor setting at the Joy & Co. store location in downtown Grand Marais. The exhibit will feature the works of more than 30 artists, with live performances, storytelling by Shannon Crossbear, and other activities throughout the final day of the Gala, on Sunday, May 9. The Tenacious Women Art Gala is funded in part by a grant from the Grand Marais Area Tourism Association (GMATA) and Visit Cook County (VCC).

Joy and Co., is housed in an historic building on 1st Ave. West in downtown Grand Marais, offering an eclectic mix of art, art supplies, crafts, jewelry, gifts, antiques, and more.
