Furniture Mart, a South Dakota-based company, has purchased the former Duluth Shopko building for $3 million.

No details about plans for the building have been released, but state property records say the intended use will be general retail.

The store is located at 801 E Central Entrance, next to Petco and Michael's.

Records say the sale went under contract March 29.

Furniture Mart has stores in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa. On their website, they say they offer furniture to fit any budget.

The Duluth Shopko store closed in June 2019. Zup's bought the Ely Shopko building

Furniture Mart has not yet replied to a WDIO request for comment.
