The Carlton County Sheriff's Office is looking for information on a vehicle believed to be linked to an incident in which three suspicious packages were left near the site of a Line 3 pipeline protest Friday on the Fond Du Lac Reservation.

According to the sheriff's office, about 40 homes were evacuated Friday afternoon while a bomb squad investigated three packages left near the 3200 block of Ditchbank Road in Perch Lake Township.

The packages were determined not to be explosive devices, and the scene was cleared.

In an update Saturday, the Carlton County Sheriff's Office said a silver 2013 Toyota Camry or Corolla with Virginia license plate UEU9422 was believed to be involved in the incident. Anyone with information on the owner or occupants of the suspect vehicle is asked to call 911.
