There is a story behind the behind the bedtime story that Rose Duffy wrote.

"I poured myself into motherhood and this brings me back to when my kids were little," said author Rose Duffy.

Her book is called  "I Thank God For You," and it's about a bedtime routine between a mom and her kids.

The Maplewood mom wrote the story more than 23 years ago and used to read it to her three kids when they were little.  She tried to publish it back then, but wasn't successful.  "I just could never stop thinking about it. I would just like to make a positive difference," she said.

These days her kids are all grown up, but Duffy was still determined to share their sacred bedtime story. She hired an illustrator and paid to have the book published on her own. She's also launched her own website and a Youtube channel to market the book. She has already sold hundreds of copies.

"It gives all kinds of good messages like forgiveness and being grateful... and tucking your little ones in with a secure feeling and confidence," she said.
