Firefighters in the Iron Range spent Christmas Eve battling two house fires, which were reported minutes apart.

Firefighters in the Iron Range spent Christmas Eve battling two house fires, which were reported minutes apart.
The Northland FireWire says the first fire was reported at 6:10 in the 500 block of 8th Street South in Virginia. The fire caused extensive damage and the Red Cross is helping the occupant of hte home.
Within minutes, another fire was reported in the 800 block of Summit Street in Eveleth, which caused a moderate amount of damage.
No injuries were reported in either fire, and the causes of both are under investigation.
