A hidden treasure in Lutsen has just made holiday shopping even more personable and convenient.  Steve and Cathy Hahn, owners of Jeweler of the North Shore have decided in December to provide more opportunities for comfort level shopping during their open hours on Monday, Thursday - Saturday from 10-5, and then on Tuesday & Wednesday - by private appointment only.

Steve and Cathy opened their store location in April of 2018.  They started out as a jewelry store sharing a space with another business.  On January 1, 2019, they grew into the entire space and expanded their offerings to include local artwork such as paintings, photography prints, pottery, Saami bracelets, beaded bracelets, handmade knives and leather goods. They have also added retail items such as Irish sweaters, leather handbags, aviator hats, Pajar Ice Gripper Boots, and several other unique brands of clothing. The primary focus is sharing Steve's extensive fine jewelry experience in creating custom jewelry, providing jewelry repair and engagement ring services. The additional items were added to their store to provide a more rounded shopping experience.
According to Cathy, “Even though our store rarely has more than one or two small groups of people in at a time - we thought by offering the opportunity to make a private appointment to come in and shop or custom design something without the possibility of others coming in at the same time - some people may appreciate that”.  She added that they are also willing to make early evening appointments if daytime interferes with someone's work hours. Jeweler of the North Shore is much more than a jewelry store and can offer additional gift ideas as well.
