A boy in Crystal, Minnesota had a lot of help from the community as he’s going through chemotherapy.

“It was scary having the brain tumor,” said 11-year-old Caleb Rogers.

Since his diagnosis, Caleb has endured more than 30 rounds of radiation and year-long chemotherapy treatments.

But on Saturday, this was something to bring his smile back.

Wishes and More, a nonprofit that fulfills wishes for children battling terminal or life-threatening illnesses, partnered with the Minnesota State Patrol to deliver a wish to Caleb at his surprise “wish reveal” at his home.

State troopers surprised Caleb with the delivery of his gaming computer and accessories donated to Wishes and More, and they escorted a gaming truck as well.

“When he came to the door, I could tell it was him with his smile on his face,” State Trooper Darren Ficek said.

“I think it brings a little bit of hope and light to the situation, and he's been doing really good and the sun is shining and it's going to be a good day. We have hope on the horizon,” said Rayna Rogers, Caleb's mom. “He's been wanting a laptop for years and years, and it's awesome that somebody was willing to donate that to him.”

“Happiness. And, surprise. Everyone came out here for me,” Caleb said.

Wishes and More hopes the gaming laptop will still give Caleb a sense of home, even as he’s going through his treatments.

“It's been a crazy year, but it's been a crazy year for everybody. Just everybody willing to go the extra mile for us even though they're going through hard times too, it's overwhelming," Rayna Rogers said. "It's love. Love that everybody needs. The whole world needs right now. We've been shown a lot and from the bottom of my heart, thank you."

Wishes and More says they are always looking for in-kind donors for wishes or monetary contributions to make our wishes happen.
