From the National Weather Service - Duluth - September 1, 2020

2020 has been a scorcher for much of the Northland. This was the warmest summer on record in Brainerd and the second warmest summer on record in Duluth! These average summertime temperatures are calculated by 1) taking the average of the high and low temperature for every day (this is called the daily average), then 2) taking the average of all the daily averages from June 1 through August 31.

Honorable mentions include: Ashland – 7th warmest, International Falls – 14th warmest, and Hibbing – 35th warmest.
