Forest Service firefighters have been battling a wildfire in the BWCAW.

Officials say the four acre fire started Tuesday, and was still burning Thursday night near Crooked Lake, about 20 miles north of Ely.

The Forest Service says it started when someone's shore lunch campfire got out of control.

Eight firefighters were keeping it under control Thursday, but there's concern a wind shift could cause problems and send smoke into Ely within the next few days.
