Cook County Schools staff lined the perimeter of the Sawtooth parking lot from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon as students and their family members drove through the parking lot to celebrate the last day of school in a parade. Big smiles, waves, and happy exchanges took place while social distancing was practiced.
Some families threw candy to the staff, some students handed out handmade drawings to their teachers, and everyone enjoyed seeing each other as distance learning ended for the school year today.
