Suspicious Person Reported

May 8, 2020 – The Cook County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a suspicious person in the Grand Portage area. The reporting party stated that an unidentified male approached a juvenile female in the area adjacent to the fire hall and attempted to get the female to come near him. Shortly after that, her uncle arrived and the male left the scene. The male is described as, white, tall, bald, wearing a black hoodie with a Realtree logo and approximately 20-30 years old.
“We take these types of calls very seriously and we have a responsibility to investigate matter such as this very thoroughly. I would encourage anyone with information regarding this person to call the Cook County Dispatch at the number listed below or simply call 911,” said Sheriff Pat Eliasen. “If you see it, say it, and every bit of information is considered critical, no matter how trivial people think it is.”
