Some of these steps include meeting with Essentia's Infection Control team and supplying staff and residents with personal protective equipment donated by Essentia Health and monitoring staff and residents for any symptoms.

St Ann’s asks that residents and staff be mindful of their health and report any symptoms of COVID-19 immediately so they can act accordingly.

This is the second long-term care facility to report a case of COVID-19 in St. Louis County. On Saturday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported at least one case of COVID-19 at Duluth's Superior View apartments.

MDH was not able to elaborate on the nature of the case(s) citing patient privacy and WDIO has not heard back from Superior View apartments yet.

In total, Minnesota health officials have named 32 senior living and other long-term care homes statewide where residents or staffers have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Department listed facilities with an outbreak, which is defined as one or more resident(s), staff, or contractors with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19.

The list released Saturday on the state Department of Health website includes facilities with 10 or more residents.

Officials have confirmed cases in 47 different senior living homes, accounting for 3% of the positive tests in the state.

Eleven of the facilities named Saturday are in Hennepin County, which includes Minneapolis, and four of them are in Ramsey County, which includes St. Paul. There have been cases reported at four centers in Washington County, which borders Ramsey County.
