During a time where businesses are physically closing their doors, some aren't shutting down their operations. In fact, the Duluth Playhouse is one of those that is adapting to their current virtual surroundings.

Multiple times a week, Amber Burns puts on a virtual workout course that's posted on the Duluth Playhouse Facebook page.

The workouts feature a mix of Zumba, dance technique, strength and conditioning and stretching.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Duluth Playhouse shut down in-person classes, but Burns said they wanted to keep those going even if it meant virtually.

"We had all these students registered for our spring classes. How can we continue to develop these artistic habits and these theater habits? I guess it was sort of like everybody trying to figure out what their organization can still provide," said Burns.

The online workouts and classes are all free on their Facebook page, but they do offer exclusive online content for whomever wants to sign up for their classes.

"Our shows are not happening, but we're not going anywhere. Our sets are still actually in place. We haven't struck anything. Spamalot on the NorShore stage is ready to go, so i think as soon as we know what's happening we're going to be back in business.

They plan to continue their online presence throughout the Stay at Home orders.
