Lutsen Resort Statement Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) - March 19, 2020

As owners and operators, we take the legacy of Lutsen Resort very seriously. The safety of our guests, employees and our community is vitally important to us.

It is with a heavy heart and thoughtful consideration that we announce we will not be allowing guests to visit the resort between this Sunday, March 22nd and April 30th. This decision was made Wednesday, March 19th after much in-house discussion. We take Governor Walz’s words seriously when he discouraged non-essential travel, asked for personal sacrifice and is asking all Minnesotans to act quickly. We believe that this is the best way we can do our part to slow down the rapid progression of the coronavirus.

All reservations between those times will be cancelled and fully refunded or moved to a later date. If you have a reservation during that time period, you will be contacted as soon as possible by one of our staff members. With an influx of calls, we ask that you are patient with our staff. During that time, we will have staff on site taking calls daily from 8am-10pm for answering questions and assisting with reservations after May 1. We encourage you to take this time to plan out your summer or fall vacation. Follow us on social media so you can still get your fix of Lutsen Resort. We will be posting daily. You can also view our web cam at any time.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Yours in hospitality,

Bryce Campbell, President
Clair Nalezny, General Manger
