Boreal Community Media would like to welcome their new journalism intern to their staff.  Ellen Callender is a senior at Cook County High School. She is a lifelong Cook County resident.  After graduation in June, Ellen plans on attending Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota to major in English.

In her spare time, Ellen enjoys running, hiking, and skiing.  Her favorite part of living in Cook County is the strong sense of community and the natural environment surrounding us.
