From Cook County MN - March 5, 2020

If you have applied for a Census 2020 position and are wondering what the status us, please read these tips below:

• If individuals have questions about schedules, their status, or anything related to the applicant and hiring process they should call this toll-free number: 1-855-JOB-2020 (aka 1-855-562-2020). There will be a menu of options, press 3 and the caller will be asked to enter their zip code. The call will be transferred to the Duluth Office personnel in charge of hiring. 

• Starting this Saturday and continuing for 10 days, the first round of hiring will commence. Applicants will receive a phone call from a 218- area code. The first people called will be the ones indicating they can work full time, then will work their way down the list. If you don’t answer, they will leave a message with a return phone number and a job code. When you call back you need to reference the job code. 

• The work in Cook County is scheduled to occur between May 1 and July 31. Training will be in April or early May. Training is for six days.
