MN Department of Health reports 5 more flu-related deaths

Five more flu-related deaths have been reported in Minnesota this season.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), a total of 36 Minnesotans have died this season, including one child.  The median age of those who died is 76.

The latest flu report from MDH states there were 77 new school outbreaks and a total of 199 new hospitalizations during the week of January 25.

MDH also reports 1,436 people across the state have been hospitalized throughout the season.
