A new face can be found in the hallways of Cook County Schools.  Signy Sherman started teaching English as a Second Language at Cook County Schools in November. Prior to arriving there, she taught at Tianjin Huayuan Maple Leaf International School  in Tianjin, China.  (Wow, that's quite a distance away!)

According to Signy, "Residing close to my family and nature is the best part about living in Cook County".  She also is enjoying the community and the variety of different activities within it, especially those nature and art based.

A surprising fact about Signy?  She is not proficient in a second language but she has lived in 3 different countries either studying abroad or teaching.

Signy is single.  She enjoys learning about a variety of different topics, writing, art activities (she is going to be taking an oil painting class soon), kayaking, and canoeing.  Her ultimate favorite things to do include reading, traveling, and having adventures, both big and small.

Welcome to Cook County Schools, Signy!
