Highway Department encourages businesses to educate the public about Grand Marais parking restrictions

Krysten Foster, the Cook County Highway Engineer, has sent out a letter and a couple of posters she is encouraging Grand Marais businesses to put up in their businesses to help educate people regarding the new winter parking rules. One poster focuses on downtown Grand Marais parking restrictions and the other features details of the ordinance on general residential parking in Grand Marais.
One poster highlights that Downtown Grand Marais is prohibited between 2am to 7am until April 15. The other residential poster reminds the public that they should park on the odd numbered side of city streets on odd numbered days, and to park on even numbered side of streets on even days.
Pre-printed copies of both posters can be picked up by businesses at Grand Marais City Hall or at the Cook County Highway Department.
