Bitterly cold wind chills will continue through noon today as temperatures slowly warm to around zero across the Northland for highs today. Clouds will increase late this afternoon with snow spreading from west to east across the Northland tonight and continue through midday Thursday.

The heaviest snow will fall from the Brainerd Lakes area eastward to the I-35 corridor, including the Twin Ports, and all of northwest Wisconsin. Snowfall of 3 to 6 inches is expected in this area with lesser amounts to the north. Lows tonight will fall into the single digits below zero, but with lighter winds and not as cold wind chills.

Highs Thursday will climb into the teens above zero. Another shot of snow is expected for Friday with the higher snowfall amounts expected in northern areas.
