Northland residents now have another convenient traveling option thanks to Sun Country Airline's partnership with Landline which offers a route from the Duluth Airport to the Minneapolis Airport.

The partnership allows guests to book bus segments as part of their air travel itinerary on Sun Country's website.

Sun Country will be operating four daily roundtrips between Duluth and Minneapolis.

Sun Country CEO Jude Bricker said it will make traveling affordable and accessible to leisure travelers.

"We are addressing a real challenge for folks in this area. You have only two connecting options by flight either to fly to the Twin Cites or Chicago O' Hare and those fares tend to be designed for business customers. Here at Sun Country, we feel we are leaving people behind who are paying with their own money," said Bricker.

Sun Country offers travel options to more than 50 destinations. Guests will be able to transfer their checked bags to their final destination when they go through check in with Landline as well.

Landline hopes they can expand this to other communities across the state in need of this travel option.
